Welcome to Our "Married" Website!!

WELCOME!!! This site is a documentation of our lives - at least the parts of them we think you may be interested in.  Julia's usually the main poster, but I jump in occansionally.  Hope you love the site as much as we do and please leave some comments to let us know what you think!

BROWSERS: IE 7, Firefox 3, and Safari 3 all {appear to} work great!  Finally, Firefox caught up to my layout.  Previously, some had trouble with our site crashing Firefox 2 on Macs - I have absolutely no clue why that would happen, except that Macs are dumb.  Good luck with that one!  :)

Had to Post

These are two consecutive shots - taken about a second apart.  Is this not hilarious?  And does our child not look absolutely enourmous next to Dexter??!  They're only 8 1/2 months apart.  What happened to my tiny baby?!!

Meet Dexter

Amanda, my great friend from college and matron of honor at my wedding, just had a baby boy!  Dexter Ethan Jones!  I'm SOOO excited that we both have boys and they're so close in age.  She and Doug came over a couple weeks ago to get some pictures for the nursery.  I have such a hard time selecting baby pictures because I love every little expression!  I want to post them all!  Here's Dexter!!

Gotta love the cloth diapers.  Looks kinda like the incredible hulk huh? :).

Brad and Lori Update

My sister-in-law is 21 weeks pregnant and is in the hospital due to some serious complications.  She's been there since Friday and will likely be there for the remainder of her pregnancy.  Please pray for her and the baby - their baby needs to stay in the womb an absolute minimum of 32 weeks (40 is the goal)!!  They've been moved to a pretty nice room now (complete with hardwood floors and a refrigerator) and my mom is picking up their dog today.  Please pray for Brad, Lori, and the baby!  It's good to know God is in charge!

My brother sent me this picture of the crib and bedding from his cell phone a couple weeks ago.  They just bought yellow paint for the walls as well.

Baseball Game

The three of us enjoyed our first sporting event over the weekend!  We arrived late, so we were there for the perfect amount of time :).  One thing that was really exciting for us, was that our boy learned how to clap after seeing everyone in the stands clapping.  He's been clapping over and over again since :).  We also were put up on the big screen during the game - it was a shot of our boy "dancing" to the music being played!  Another neat thing about Rays games, is that we always see people we know.  We saw two families we're pretty close with from church (one family was behind us), and then a highschool friend after the game.

He liked having a ticket like his dad :).

Everywhere we go, he usually gets entertainment from whoever is behind us :).
Saturdays with Family

We're very grateful to be able to spend so much time with family at my in-laws' gorgeous lake house.  We were all over there recently for Cole's birthday - Happy Birthday Cole!  However, this is actually a pretty typical Saturday over there!  We're very fortunate!

Grilling with his grandfather :).

Four Months!

My sister-in-law, Lori, is four months pregnant!  We did an impromtu shoot behind our house right after my mom's party!  We can't wait to meet this little girl!

We were trying to get him to make a funny face - turned out to be a decent one I've never seen him make...
Surprise Party!

We had our first big bash at our new house - my mom's surprise 60th birthday!!!  Happy Birthday Mom!!!  It's been in the works for a couple months now and my aunt & uncle even flew down for the big event.  We had over 30 people!  I should have the video clip of the actual surprise up today.  My sister-in-law, Lori (thank you!!), stayed with us the night before the party to help cook and setup (my mom thought she was at her parents' house).  For appetizers - we made warm corn dip, guacamole, pizza dip, and a corn/bean dip.  For the main course - we grilled mini hamburgers and corn (we had two grills setup outside - one that we sneakily got from my mom).  For desserts - we had lemon blossoms, cookies, cupcakes, cholocate cake, and ice cream.  Thank you everyone for making it such a speical day!!!

Tyson made the invitation!  This is my mom when she was a little over 20 :).

Notice anything new.... :)
We had a slideshow playing on our TV with pictures of her through the years.  Some were sent by others that she had never seen before.  The rest of them I sneaked out of her house a couple weeks ago and scanned.  We also had music from the 40's, 50's, and 60's playing in the background.

This was actually painted on the wall :)!  I was going to buy a wall decal, but they're kind of expensive.  Instead, Tyson borrowed a projector, traced his design on the wall with a pencil, and painted it!  I loved it!!

My brother and sister-in-law on the right - four months pregnant!

Here are my cousins with the snakes outside.  Kristen braved it up for a picture.  I like how David is looking at it in the background :).

Nathan and Carter are taking these home....
Thanks again to everyone who helped out, attended, sent cards and gifts, or made phone calls to make this day special!  Happy Birthday Mom!!!  We love you!!
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!!!
