We are Tyson and Julia Brown. We met my first weekend of college at Westside Baptist Church at the University of Florida (I was Julia Dickey then...). We were "just friends" for about a year and a half, until Tyson officially asked me to be his girlfriend (he even talked it over with my dad before asking me!). Exactly two years after that, he proposed! And two years after that, we got married!!! We now live ecstatically ever after in Florida. Tyson works as VP of an electrical contracting company (and is getting an MBA) and I work as an Industrial Engineer for Disney.
When we got married, I thought I couldn't be any closer to him than I was at the time. We had already been through so much together - over five years, four engineering degrees, and a deep & sudden family loss. However, I had never had the privilege of greeting him everyday after work or staying with him when it was time to say goodnight. It's now been 9 months and I still get such a joy just brushing my teeth with him! I love planning out my weekends with him, I love figuring out dinner with him (often walking to a nearby fast-food restaurant), I love our rushed cleaning routine right before company comes, I love traveling to new places with him, I love hanging out with friends and family with him, I love praying with him at night, I love just doing nothing with him, and I love figuring out how to be an great spouse with him!
This website is pretty much a documentation of all that. We kept everyone in the loop through all the engagement and wedding details - and wanted to continue as we start this new adventure together. We have already found that the busyness of life can cause months (or years) between phone calls and visits, and hope this might aid in at least letting you know what's been happening on our side. Please drop us some comments and let us know what you think!!
